If you want to go on a voyage of taste discovery and find out what the best balsamic vinegars taste like, here is your entry point! A good balsamic will make your taste buds pop and we love to pleasantly surprise visitors to our Farmers Market Stall in Swindon and hosts of our Boutiques@Home when we offer them samples to taste and try.
This classic balsamic is made using Trebbiano and Lambrusco grapes grown on the family estate of Nicolo Verrini in the countryside close to Modena in Northern Italy. The family use traditional methods and the best of their grapes which are crushed and cooked down and then mixed with just the right amount of top quality wine vinegar before being allowed to mature in ancient oak barrels.
This classic balsamic has been matured for at least 18 months and has a perfectly balanced, well rounded and simply delicious flavour. It is mellow, fruity and has a low acidity and is perfect for every day use. Use it on it’s own or mix with a premium quality olive oil as a dip for fresh bread, drizzle over salad or as an ingredient to lift the flavour of roasted vegetables.
